Mountains in Bloom
Over 1,000 garden and nature lovers from all over the U.S. will come together July 8-11, 2010, to celebrate the 12th annual Mountains in Bloom garden festival in the mountain resort community of Highlands, North Carolina. The multiple-day event features a tour of five majestic mountain gardens in the Bowery Road area of Highlands, a flower show and photography competition, a home and garden market, a flower-themed lecture and demonstration by Beverly Reese Church, and an exclusive Benefactors Party. Proceeds support the exhibitions and education programs of The Bascom, a nonprofit visual arts center that recently completed a six-acre, multiple-building campus funded by a $13 million capital campaign.
About Carol Mathews
The Relationship Realtor Because Your Home is Where Your Heart is .
I was born in South Louisiana and moved to Highlands in 1983. This has been home ever since. This is such a special place to live, the beautiful national parks, the wildlife, the climate but mostly it is the community. When you move here you are welcomed with open arms and you immediately feel like part of the area. The favorite part of real estate is finding a special place you want, and introducting you to the communities, the people, the traditions and the way of life that you can only find up here in Highlands and Cashiers NC and the surrounding area.

Really? I didn’t know that! That’s pretty cool. Do they do that every year? Or is this something new?
